Hi Christian Great job! Just clicked your flickr-pics. I’m impressed! Your work is my absolute favorite „style“. No - boring and only - collection of the fantastic old DSLRs, trying to take photos with these real treasures! If you have time you can click the following links. Please use GoogleTransla...

Nikon D1X: Still going strong? Going even stronger! With the Kodak DCS200ci
I would never have expected such a result. Working for my big Kodak DCS200ci-report for the German digicammuseum.de I took the DCS200Ci to the Basektball-Gym. ISO at the 400 DCS200ci-limit, 1,4/50 mm AF Nikkor wide open, shutter 1/1000s. That’s what I got: https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1484/2566976...

Minolta RD 3000 Special "FourThirds" Edition ;-)
Who says that it is impossible taking fotos with a defect camera? Swivel-joint Nikon Coolpix Cameras (and others)
Just realized the hint: „Discuss non-DSLR models (e.g. Coolpix cameras)“. Well, let’s go! http://www.digicammuseum.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Geschichten/Nikon_Coolpix_Verdreh/Produktfotos/DSC08470_750p.jpg http://www.digicammuseum.de/fileadmin/_processed_/csm_DCS3offen_750p_c0e9844929.jpg It was NO ...

The poor Man’s Still-Video-Camera Part II (not only RC-560!)
The evolution of Still Video Cameras came to its end 1992 with the affordable Canon ION RC-560 (German and others PAL TV system), ION RC-570 (US, Japanese NTSC TV system). An ION with zoom lens and a well equipped system in combination with a high resolution 752 x 582 Pixel Frame-Mode! http://www.di...

Hi Stan Thank you very much for your estimation! You wrote: "It is a good thing the makers of the Li Ion pack seem to have properly compensated for the old charger. Usually Li Ion packs go -poof- when charged by old NiCd chargers." I wonder that I never heard, red about a newer Kodak Cha...

Genuine Kodak DCS200 Files Update III March 2016
Hi everybody So far I don’t know, if the body works, but I am happy that a Kodak DCS200ci is on the way to me. I have downloaded the Windows TWAIN-Driver and installed a Photoshop 2.5 LE. The TWAIN is recognized! Starting Photoshop and the Import-function the TWAIN can’t find a DCS200 of course, but...

Question about Kodak DCS 5xx/6xx/7xx Batteries
So far ist was no problem for me to replace the almost dead batteries/the block of a Kodak DCS4xx. Please have a look at the foto, my solution. OK, you have to open the DCS4xx body to load the 1,2 V Eneloopes separately, but I can live with that! http://www.digicammuseum.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Ges...

Nikon QV 1000 and the Canon-Pendants RC-701, RC-760 will stay dreams. So why don’t having a look to the interesting and more affordable Canon ION-Line RC-470, RC-250/251 (Q-PIC), RC-360/260 and RC-570/560? Let’s start with the Canon ION RC-260 (RC-360 US NTSC-Version) http://www.digicammuseum.de/fil...

Re: Minolta RD 3000
Hi, I think there is a problem with one of the mirrors. The camera delivers images from a pair of 1.5-megapixel CCD imagers using a half-mirror prism. The prism splits the image into left and right halves, each of which is projected onto its own CCD. The two images are then seamlessly rejoined, bec...

Minolta RD 3000
Hi everybody Is there someone, who could help repairing a Minolta RD 3000? Someone with a corresponding experience or knowing an internet-source (link) for a repair manual (PDF)? I got an almost working Minolta RD 3000 with one problem. First I thought it is a sensor- electronics-(board) problem bec...

APS-Film, an analogue disaster, but a survival in form of digital SLRs
The last rear up of the dying film manufacturers – APS Film – was a pure disaster. But two APS-Film-SLR-cameras made their way to the digital age: the Nikon Pronea 600i (6i in the US) and the Minolta Vectis S1. http://www.digicammuseum.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Geschichten/Leaf_Lumina/NikonProneaGang...

Memories of the Nikon QV 1000
No, I don't own an exemplar :-( But cleaning up the basement, I found that really old and suffered thermoprint, souvenir from the Photokina 1988. I was allowed that one shot, using the Nikon QV 1000 photographing the Nikon-Girl with another QV 1000. After that I got the thermoprint as present. Enjoy...
